Sea World San Diego

June 25, 2008 at 12:44 pm under My life

On my 1st day my cousin and his family brought me to Sea World which is in the heart of San Diego. I’ve heard lots of things about this theme park and i wanted to experience and see it to believe it.

Ticket cost me $59 which is also good all-year round for San Diego residents. The lineup was not that long so it took us in a breeze to get in. There were lots of shows lined-up for that day and the most anticipated is the “Shamu, Believe” show of there resident Killer Whale Shamu. Before seeing Shamu we went around and checked the cute and lovable under water creatures like Seals, Sea Lions, Penguins, Sharks and others.

The 1st show that I’ve seen was the cute dolphins. It was an amazing show, I was thrilled seeing dolphins interact with the audience by the way of splashing water. The dolphins also jumped and flipped at a height of 20 feet and it was breathtaking. The 2nd show showcased a Sea Lion, Seal and a walrus and they were hilarious. The trio were so funny and it made me laugh the whole time I was watching it.

After hours of walking through the park we went to biggest auditorium at Sea World and saw Shamu. Shamu was as big as a full sized van. It was cute and spectacular to see them fly up in the air and interact with the audience. The shows were one of a kind and worth it. I will be coming back again and see these lovely creatures that captured heart at San Diego Sea World.

Flying to San Diego

June 24, 2008 at 1:35 am under My life

Just got back from my 4 day vacation at Sunny San Diego. The weather is almost similar to Manila which is really scorching hot and humid.

I traveled via Air Canada and was lucky to get a non-stop flight for $407.10 round-trip. The plane was equipped with entertainment systems like the ones on long-haul flights . Comparing my trip to Las Vegas last year via Alaska Air with “1st class seats” which was boring because it did not have the entertainment system. The movies and audios kept me company on the 3 hour flight to San Diego and back to Vancouver.

On my way back to Vancouver last Sunday I have to check-in personally at San Diego airport because their not capable of online check-in. I waited inline which was fast and was greeted by a friendly receptionist. He took my passport and typed my name on the computer which took him around 10-15 minutes to talk back. He apologized to me that my connecting flight to San Francisco was fully booked and gave me an option to transfer to another flight. I did not mind of transferring to another flight, all I wanted was to get home safe. The receptionist transferred me to another Air Canada flight which was earlier than my booked flight and I was surprised to hear that the flight was non-stop direct to Vancouver and it was the same model of plane that flew me in to San Diego a couple of days ago. On my original flight back to Vancouver my expected arrival was 10:30PM because I have to wait for my connecting flight in San Francisco for 3 hours. I was delighted with the transfer which was faster and the receptionist also gave me a ($200 United Airlines voucher ticket for US only) good for a year, for my patience of waiting in line and accepting the offer of getting transferred. I am now a big fan of Air Canada for their customer service which exceeded my expectations and for their newer model of planes that is more relaxed and entertaining.

Summer Vacation 2008

1st stop San Diego

Last April I booked a flight to San Diego at itavel2000.com. The round-trip ticket cost me $407.11 after taxes which is the cheapest that I can find over numerous flight booking sites. I will be flying to San Diego tomorrow via Air Canada.

I will be visiting “Shamu” the famous killer whale at San Diego Sea World, walk the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles and see the sandy beaches.

Pictures of my trip will be posted soon.

A Birthday Card from my babies

April 5, 2008 at 3:37 pm under My life

When I got home this afternoon there was a BIG envelope in front of my suite’s door. I picked it up and was surprised by the sender’s name, it was from my babies. The card was BIG (jumbo) and the text were in black and white and the design was so plain at the front but when i opened it up i was surprised again of what was inside the card. The way my boo (Ruthie) made the birthday message was so unique and i think she spent lots of her time doing it.

The card was simple but the unique message design and effort that my Ruthie spent on the card PRICELESS. Thank you for making an unforgettable birthday card for my coming birthday. I Love You and I cant wait to be with you soon.

This guy is the most funniest East Indian. He makes lots of jokes about the multi-cultural community of Canada. One of his best skit was about the different Asian people. The part where he joked about Filipinos was so funny and real.Watch this:
