I just found out by accident that Smart Bro has this nifty tool called Smart Bro quickfix. I was browsing their site to learn more about their anniversary promo until i saw Smart bro’s self diagnostic software which got me curious.

1. What is Smart Bro QuickFix? Smart Bro QuickFix is a new diagnostic tool developed by Smart Bro for Smart Bro subscribers. It is an easy-to-use installable program that automatically detects problems with your Smart Bro connection and guides you through basic connection troubleshooting.

Smart Bro QuickFix has 4 toolsets that will aid you in isolating the problem:

a. Diagnostic module - automatically identifies the cause of your connection issues and guides you through basic troubleshooting remedies.

b. Connection Latency module - checks the response time of the different parts of the network

c. Ping module - allows the user to check if a particular website is accessible.

d. Trace Route module - allows user to see which part of the internet the connection stopped or reached.

This is a very good tool for non-tech smart bro subscribers. It will help you isolate your connection problem before calling their tech support. I’m not speaking in behalf of Smart but sometimes based on my experience as a tech support, the real problem is on the users end…sometimes!
